Additional Resources for Inquiries

If you are seeking mental health, psychological or relationship advice, we encourage you to use one of the many free resources we make available to our members:

Psych Central does not provide online counseling or psychotherapy services. Looking for a therapist?

If you or someone you know is suicidal, check out our suicidal resources or The Samaritans, a charity that also offers free online suicidal emotional support via e-mail.

From Dr. Grohol:
I cannot stress this enough... If you're really in need or have mental health-related questions, going to see your primary care physician (if you have one) or a mental health professional within your local community should be strongly considered. They can learn a lot more about you and answer your questions far more adequately than I (or I imagine most other professionals online) ever could from one short e-mail. It's worth the money... After all, you'd pay a plumber $75 an hour to come into your home and fix your pipes. Aren't human beings worth as much?

I do not think there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.
